We hope all of you are well and enjoying the spring weather.  Here is what is happening from the Bob Ehrke side of the family.

Bob

He continues to enjoy living at West Hill Village in Rapid City.  Uncle Bob is busy going to weekly exercise classes, educational presentations, coffee with friends and church when the weather is good.  He also follows South Dakota State baseball, basketball football and local high school sports.

Carol Bartnett

The St. Louis crew is healthy and staying busy. Carol continues as Quality Assurance manager at Novus International, Inc, working remotely with some occasional travel. Carol joined Brian’s family on a Disney cruise in December and all had a great time. Brian works as a manager for Enterprise in corporate financial analysis. He and Amber stay busy with their very active 3-year old, Eleanor, who is involved in swimming, gymnastics and soccer at a toddler level. She will soon have a sister as Brian and Amber are expecting in mid-June.

 

Barb & John Howe

We continue to enjoy volunteering for Guide Dogs of Texas, training guides dogs when we are home.  We made a nice trip to Phoenix visiting Betsy.  While there we went to a Willie Nelson concert—he still packs them in and there is a dedicated crowd of Willie-followers.  We also visited Thomas & Ellen in the San Diego area.  Thomas safely returned from his last 8-month deployment to the Middle East.  He will separate from the Navy at the end of May and enter the civilian workforce.  We also continue to hike & bike in AZ, CO, CA & TX.  We are going to South Dakota in late May to see Dad.  We enjoy hearing updates from all of your families.

  Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and is looking forward to 2024! I will get you caught up on Allen’s family: Tim (the oldest) and Allen R.(the youngest) live in Viborg, SD. Tim works at the local school a couple days a week, and both volunteer with Feed South Dakota. They also keep busy with their pets - a dog and a cat.  Greg and his wife Mindy moved to Tyler, MN this past fall as Mindy became the head pastor at the Tyler parish. Greg retired from teaching about four years ago but continues to substitute teach occasionally. Their oldest son, Chris, lives in Tea, SD and works for Wells Fargo bank. Their daughter Sara welcomed her first child, Ronen, with husband Chad in March. They are living in Sioux Falls, SD. Daniel, their youngest son, lives with his wife Reiko and their children Lionel, Iris, and Daisy in Jacksonville, FL - they certainly enjoyed a warmer winter than us in the Midwest! November 2023 - Frances Ehrke

 Frances Carmine (Ehrke) Hello to all of our Ehrke Family!  I am so excited to be able to help get the World Famous Ehrke Family Round Robin kicked off!  We hope you are all doing well in your part of the world.  It was SO much fun being able to see those who were able to attend the reunion in Aberdeen and such an honor to meet some of our family whom we have never met before! OK, so what's been happening over the past year on Fran's family tree branch?  Lots!  I will start with her children's families in order of age, beginning with Judy's family. Judy John , or Larry as a lot of you know him, is still living in Millbrae in the home they bought over 45 years ago.  He keeps busy attending meetings and gatherings as a member of the Lions Club, Duffers, and Italian Club.  He golfs once a week and heads up to his home in Clearlake about once a month.  John turned 75 last December and enjoyed the event with family and friends.
